Whittlesea to Mt. Baw Baw
Well all went to plan met up with tape, hidepenny and javaman 10 am whitlsea ten minutes later of to flowerdale and up glenburn road where andi took a few photos. Then proceeded to toolangi and at the turn of 3 cop cars and assorted traffic so made out like they wernt there .Got to chum creek road then the fun began, how quick can you get passed a line of vintage cars After that little game we proceeded to yarra junction and on to nooje. At the turn of we decieded to go straight to baw baw and get lunch on the way back as hidepenny had to get back early arvo.
There was not a lot of traffic up the baw baw road so there was a bit of a spirited run up there nothing super fast but enough to keep your attension on the road.I was waiting at the top then hidepenny and tape turned up,then an ooppsy While stopping hidepenny dropped his bike when brakeing at low speed .There was a fair amount of paint of the fairing, bent gear lever and scuffed engine cover but he was ok.After a breif chat he headed of and the rest of us had a rest then headed back to nooje. On arrival there were 20 tractors pulling up so to avoid a long wait for meals we decieded to have a snack at the local shop.Tape left from there and me ,kazz and andi had a bite to eat then went of to get some petrol. This is where andi departed and headed towards koranburra,me and kazz went back the way we came .I had a little play with a gixxer i was just crusing on the sweepers $1.20 and he over took me,but surprise surprise there were a few tighter corners and i was lighting the way for him as he seemed a little lost. All in all a good run bugger about the drop but no-one was hurt in the making of this ride so alls good. Thanks to all that attended and to the others that didnt,You missed out.

I think I've missed one or two..sorry to whoever it is!!
The meet times were loosely adhered to and we ended up getting away from Diamond Creek about 11.00am. Thanks to Mal assuring us that the road was open, we headed straight up Kinglake National Park Rd and stopped halfway where the road no longer was!!!!! With how they had it all blocked, there was no way across not even on a dirt squirt! So we U-turned and headed back down the hill and turned left at Panton Hill and around to Yarra Glen where a few got fuel. We then back tracked around to chum ck rd and up to Kinglake and across in the Fog to Kinglake west for the run down to Flowerdale. At Kinglake West Mr.VT 7fiddie turned for Melbourne having had enough of the fog! As usual it was tricky in the wet through here, with lots of mud dragged onto the road at any dirt rd intersection from the numerous 4wd's who frequent the state forest. This and the shiny patches however were nothing compared to the 5 kilometres of diesel coming into Flowerdale. Speaking of which, we must all have been very lucky, as a car following behind us didn't fair so well, ending up on it's roof, with the occupants air lifted and the road closed to all traffic! I know a few had some seat foam chewing moments just before arriving in Flowerdale.
We stopped at the Flowerdale pub for lunch. It was to be Broadford, however the rain and Mal's detour up and back down KNPR had put us behind schedule. While digesting lunch, we also had front row seats to watch the air ambulance touch down on the roadside across from the Pub.
After lunch we headed over to Strath Ck and then over to Broadford. It was here that some people decided to turn left onto the freeway for Melbourne???????? Dunno why???? No corner markers????? Anyhoo, at Broadford, Ronster, Mal and Stace took the direct route back, with Ratmick, Scott and me doing a little run across to Pyalong and down to (forgotten name...someone will fill it in.) where we split up. Ratmick and scott heading west and me south. Arrived home at 4.30 with 360klms travelled door to door.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who braved the weather and went out for a splash. I would also like to thank those who wimped out, regardless of the excuses!!!
